The first thing I did was round up the old skate crew and let them know what I wanted to film and got everybodys schedule. For the magic board and green screen project, I was inspired by two segments in the Girl skateboards video "Yeah Right". The first video was mainly just making sure we threw the board off screen in the right direction. For the green screen video I experimented first with green screening only the griptape and jeremy's little brother. Then we tried screening out Germ himself and I like how that intro shot came out. For the rest of the video we used an all green skateboard and wheels and keyed/matted it out, there is an example of this side by side for the ending shot. I also dabbled in rotoscoping and I really liked how those 4 shots came out but I quickly realized that it took far too long to do it that way, so I went back to keying and matting. I want to thank Josh, Twinky, Jimmy B, Scott, Drew, Germ, Jeremy's kid brother, B-Rad, Thor, and Oury who all helped me by giving their time and performing these ridiculous maneuvers! I had a fun year and I really enjoyed the cool tricks I learned from you and this class. Its the magic of moviemaking!
